Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The celebrated industry figure died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, according to.
